There is no uniform and fixed temperature resistance range for industrial high-temperature resistant silicone blocks, which varies depending on the silicone material formula, manufacturing process, and added additives. Common temperature resistance ranges are divided into the following categories:
The temperature resistance range is usually -50℃ ~ 200℃. They can work stably for a long time in environments below 180℃, and withstand high temperatures of 200℃ for a short period (within several hours). They are suitable for sealing and thermal insulation scenarios of conventional industrial equipment.
Made of special silicone raw materials (e.g., fumed silica silicone) and added with heat-resistant additives, their temperature resistance range can be extended to -60℃ ~ 300℃. They can be used for a long time in 250℃ environments and bear 300℃ high temperatures for short periods, making them ideal for high-temperature working conditions such as automobile engine compartments and metallurgical equipment.
Through modification treatment, some customized products can reach a maximum temperature resistance of 350℃ ~ 400℃. However, such products are usually small-batch customized, and the long-term service temperature generally does not exceed 300℃. They are mainly used in special fields such as aerospace and high-end equipment manufacturing.
