CNC Cutting
CNC cutting machines or laser cutting equipment are adopted to precisely cut sheets according to customer-provided drawings, which can produce square, round or simple special-shaped parts of different dimensions. Featuring high precision and burr-free edges, this process is suitable for batch cutting of thin to medium-thick sheets, and is commonly used in manufacturing basic components such as sealing gaskets and insulation partitions.
CNC Engraving & Milling
CNC engraving and milling machines are used for precision machining of sheets, capable of milling complex grooves, holes, threads and irregular contours. During processing, cutting speed and feed rate must be strictly controlled, and special tools should be used to avoid local edge melting or deformation caused by PTFE’s poor thermal conductivity. This process is ideal for manufacturing precision mechanical parts and equipment liners.
Grinding & Polishing
For products requiring high surface finish, precision grinding and polishing equipment is applied to treat the sheet surface. Surface roughness is reduced through progressive grinding, which improves flatness and wear resistance. This process is widely used in scenarios with stringent requirements for friction coefficient and sealing performance, such as seals and sliding guide rails.
Hot Press Forming
For special-shaped parts that need bending or shaping, the hot press forming process is adopted: PTFE sheets are heated to a specific temperature, then pressed with molds and cooled for shaping, which can produce special structures like arcs and bent parts. This process maintains the original properties of the material and prevents cracking caused by cold bending, making it suitable for manufacturing pipe liners and equipment protective covers.
Drilling & Tapping
Specialized drilling equipment and taps are used to process through holes, blind holes and threaded holes of various specifications on sheets. Attention should be paid to chip removal during processing to prevent chips from adhering to tools and affecting precision. This process is often used for PTFE sheet components that require assembly and fixation.
