It’s tough and can take impacts well. But it melts at a lower temp (around 220°C) and soaks up a bit more water than PA66.
What PA66 is used for:
Strong parts: Car engine bits (like intake manifolds), turbine fan blades, high-pressure fuel lines. It’s stiffer and handles heat better.
Industrial gear: Gears, bearings, pump housings that need to handle high temps and heavy loads.
Electronics: High-temp sockets, relay housings – parts that need to resist fire and heat (often mixed with glass fibers).
Aerospace: Aircraft parts, drone parts. It’s light but strong.
Medical tools: Housings for surgical instruments, sterilization trays – they can handle high-temp steam.
What PA66 is like:
It melts at a higher temp (around 260°C) and is stiffer. But it’s a bit more brittle and soaks up less water than PA6.
