We specialize in CNC machining of insulation materials like POM sheets and Nylon sheets, producing high-precision insulation material CNC machined parts. With advanced equipment and expertise in insulation material processing, we handle everything from cutting to precision forming.
POM (Polyoxymethylene) and Nylon (Polyamide) are not the same. Although both are plastics, their properties and applications differ:
Wear Resistance:
POM is harder and more wear-resistant, making it suitable for precision parts like gears and bearings.
Nylon has better toughness and impact resistance, but may not perform as well as POM under prolonged friction.
Temperature Resistance:
POM can withstand temperatures from -40°C to 100°C but may deform at high temperatures.
Nylon has higher heat resistance (some grades can exceed 120°C) but may absorb moisture and soften.
Water Absorption:
POM hardly absorbs water, ensuring dimensional stability.
Nylon is prone to moisture absorption and may swell or deform when exposed to water (requires drying treatment).
Price:
POM is generally more expensive, while nylon offers better cost performance.
